I see a lot of great content in some of these post, but have hardly no upvotes. Why is that? I believe that we as a society have gotten to a point where we want information fast (some would call it the microwave effect). Well I believe this post is too long now. We need pictures and videos that will tell the story.. Sorry I had to put one more sentence or two.

I think because there are lots of great content producers who are still minnows, don't have a large following and don't aggressively promote each post they publish within (most importantly) the first hour and the first 24 hours to get attention.
While on the other hand, people putting out poor quality might be whales and be active promoters of their own content, running bots etc.
