Researchers from the Universidade Federal de So Paulo and the Universidade Estadual de Campinas created and tested a board game to help health professionals and children with cancer communicate more effectively. The game 'Skuba! An adventure under the sea' was created with a theoretical framework based on Vigostky's socio-constructivist theory and a methodological framework based on Child-Centered Game Development (CCGD). The CCGD believes that children must be included in the entire development and validation process of games in order for their needs, beliefs, and perceptions to be met.
