What I like about XP coin is that it is proof of stake and these category of coins is getting more attention than proof of work coins.

This has real application in real world and gaming is a sector which is growing faster than we are expecting, so XP has a good future and early adopters will be benefited big time in coming months.

Wow. Really mindblowing. A cruptocurrency that is used to reward achievements and advances on different levels such as gaming category, blockchain, sports. social media, infact practically for doing anything :) Beautiful, even for passing exams or passing education modules at schools and higher institutions
I mean, this is independence from any third party organizations such as banks, governments, corporations etc. So i doubt if the aforementioned institutions would not want to collaborate because United Nations’ number one sustainable development goal is to eradicate poverty. A huge part of the challenge is that sheer number of people without access to any financial services, so with the decentralised nature of XP coin, a significant portion of the world’s poor could be on board, a first step to increasing economic well-being.
Since i have finished studying, it a shame that i didnt know much about this while i was in school, because that would have been where my attention would be. Atleast my good results would have some other rewards. Imagine being financially self sufficient while in school. This is a huge development because students from time have hated to study and read because there isn't much immediate gain and to some no motivation. But with this, there is a push for students to go the extra mile and seek the real knowledge because when there is motivation for doing something(in this case XP Coin), students would eventually focus and this becomes a win-win for both the society and the individual. The aim for going to school is achieved. When there is no reward, atimes abuse becomes the order of the day
This XP sure has come to make life better.
Even while gaming, the motivation there is that there is are digital rewards which cant be converted into real cash, but that still motivates a lot of gamers to keep playing as long as they see the points in their dashboard. But hearing about XP now is a plus to my gaming life indeed. My motivation has been doubled:) Who would ever believe that one can earn real rewards from gaming. So i am glad its being integrated. So the whole idea of XP i believe is to meet each of our needs no matter the area of interest.
i guess i would just focus on the ones that applies to me now which is posting content on the blockchain, online and also earning rewards while i game,i believe there are other areas that would benefit me too, probably when i do more research i would find out more.

I see a great future here. Just like you said, i will still do more research just before i invest and i hope we all do same.
@adsactly, pls we would appreciate it more if you keep us updated with more info on XP Coin in subsequent times. Because i see a great future for XP coin. Its for everybody. I hardly see a limitation. With everything stated on this post, i think it has the potential to benefit many more people around the world who are living in poverty and are in desperate need of secure, reliable, and affordable financial services.
I have some inquiries i will need to make. So i guess i will do that in the adsactly xpcoin channel on discord.

It's this type of technology that is going to take crypto to the next level, I for one am very excited to get my hands on some XP. The gaming industry has far surpassed all expectation in the last 20 years, to what is now a trillion dollar industry, as least. I love the proof of stake concept and I'm sure many other share the feeling. Revolutionary tech like this will be the foundation of a sold decentralized open value economy.

As far as we know, this is the first digital currency enabling one to earn through playing video games and participating in related activities.

These are huge selling points as well! I'm going to have to look into this project a lot more seriously now. Before this article I was only mildly interested. Thanks for this research!

Hey, from the economic perspective even Vitalik Buterin don't think that FIAT currency will be doomed. Not all people would like to have payouts in crypto.

Imagine world where you work 1 month then get your payout and the next day your payout is worth 10% less. Vitalik mentioned it as a strong argument, because not all peps will be into crypto. I think his point is worth to consider.

As far as we know, this is the first digital currency enabling one to earn through playing video games and participating in related activities. A truly decentralized and fully independent groundbreaker, we've all been waiting for a long time.

I think the idea of XP is the beginning of new era of gaming. Today’s youth has been praying for such as projects like this. Since it is in its beginnings it should be not that difficult to mine such a coins oppose to after next few years, you can see bitcoin as an example. When Bitcoin started it was made so any average person could mine it on their home computer. Currently bitcoin mining has extremely high difficulty. However as far as I’m informed there is actually another project such as XP coin club and it’s called SteemAgar. SteemAgar is a steem implementation of the famous game but now you can earn steem by winning the game or by being rewarded by your other players via upvotes. By creating an entirely different way to earn steem or XP coin such as XP or SteemAgar, we open an entirely new way for people to get off the ground and earn based on their skills at XP or Agar. With Steem having zero transactions fees that are practically instant, we have a perfect way to showcase it beyond the world of blogging and content creation. No other blockchain could do something like that.

Disclaimer: I am not a gamer, a skill I never learned. So the idea of playing for XP is beyond me.

That said, I love the idea that people (even me) could be rewarded for civic engagement, participation in sports and other options. What a concept! Get paid for doing the right thing.

A couple of things are just obvious right out of the gate. Proof of Stake is a great way to provide the coins. Any mining I do in the future will be completely powered by solar panels that I own. I think we in the crypto world are missing a great chance to take the 'high road' on our future by cutting our energy requirements. Proof of Stake goes a long ways towards making that reality.

I also like that they are not trying to be everything, but encourage open source partners to participate in the process. Be a token, not a bank or a store. Let the bank types and store types do what they do best in the process...

Am I interested? You better believe it. I'll be in the room at Adsactly before all the electrons on this page have all appeared as black and white...

This coin can be a game changer in the gaming industry. As stated the industry is already about to surpass the movie industry and its growth is about to increase exponentially. The nice thing about earning this coin through playing is that you can then turn around and use it to purchase in game and also trade with other gamers. Imagine the number of young people that are going to be introduced to the crypto world through this platform. This looks like a great time to get in because once this goes live it could be big.

If I remember well, XP coin is probably one of the first token related to the "gaming" world.

This is a strength because there are more and more competitors in the gaming area.

They are listed in lots of popular trading platforms, such as OpenLedger (listed on the Top Market one or two weeks ago).

As always, buying Low before the FOMO is a good thing. XP tokens are affordable and can be very profitable if the price goes up 1/10 of the actual cost.

Before I regard the idea of the token itself, ai would like to express my appreciation to the proof of stake concept - I remember that when I first dived into the idea of bitcoin and the mining of it, I became really worried about the energy expenses and the subsequent usage of coal and fuel to produce this energy- this is why I enjoy and appreciate seeing new technologies that make the proof of work obsolete.

Now - regarding the coin, as a previous gamer - I really like the concept of being rewarded by means crypto coins for achievements- not only it's great for players who get rewarded for doing what they love doing anyway, that idea also has a bright future with the adoption by the gaming industry, as that concept will make players more loyal to the game for longer periods of time - after all, their rewards grow with the amount of time the dedicated to their gaming and it gives the player the feeling that he is not only enjoying himself, he is also productive, and that's a great recipe to players retention. Because of this - it's only logical for the the industry to adopt the idea - this will make their revenues grow considerably.

I also like the diversity of the fields the coin is aimed at, as a student the assimilation into the education system is close to my heart - I know for fact that having the incentive of being rewarded with money(tokens) will make students more dedicated to their learning and more successful- learning for a high grade alone is sometimes just not enough to make the student devoted to his studies.

The low price shouldn't worry you,new revolutionary concepts take time to spread and be accepted widely, you should see it as a chance for early adopters. I bought EOS at 0.7$ because I thought the coin's idea is good and believed in it and it was worth it greatly. If you believe in this concept - this might be a good time to become involved.

I'm not an avid player. But I do not mind being able to spend free time for an interesting game. First, it is scientifically proven that games some games develop your level of intelligence (memory, speed decision making, wit). Therefore, when you are immersed in the game process, you not only enjoy, but also benefit. At the moment, online games are a sport (cyber sport to be precise).
After reading about the project XP (Experience points). I was pleasantly surprised. First, thanks to decentralization and the block chain, we now have such a remarkable project. What XP ? I read the post, but the first two paragraphs are problematic, especially the second paragraph.

Not to mention that this concept is completely free of regular financial systems, corporations and government's influences.

That is a really, really, really bold statement. You're telling me that no one who ever wants to buy or sell your coin will EVER have to interact with any traditional banking or similar methods of transfers?

But that statement isn't even as bad as the last part of the sentence... how could you possibly claim that this network, especially a DPOS one, is going to be "completely free" of government influences? You'd need a crystal ball or the power to literally control all governments worldwide, forever, to be able to make that statement and know that it's true.

Okay, maybe the variety of faucets you listed is a little interesting, but it seems awfully general and it would be more useful to go into the specifics of that than how you finished up the post. What exactly is a "model citizen", for example.

The rest is just a reiteration of existing systems, yes it's nice to know we save energy and computing costs vs POW, but you don't make any specific novel statements that would be encouraging to anyone who really wants to do solid Due Diligence before investing in any product being sold.

I'm not saying this to bash you, but I will say that unless you change how you word things and give more concrete reasons for why anyone other than your current fanbase (other adsactly members, steemit users who don't know how to spot scams or cheer things on mindlessly hoping for an upvote, etc.) should seriously consider this offering, then you will get the attention of only the most gullible of persons. Unless that's exactly what you wanted in the first place, in which case I'm not really in a position to be able to stop this or other similar kinds of shilling activity on the website, so whatever.

If I were a hypothetical investor this post would turn me off to the idea immediately, unless I was one of the types to hype up and pump and dump generic ICOs.

Your use of geonodes and its pokemon go-like implementation is in direct contradiction to your pandering to the eco-friendly crowd when you speak about the network's low energy use.

Locations that are difficult to get to and infrequently visited often has to do with the fuel costs required to get there, why would you want to put an incentive on energy intensive tasks like going to the middle of nowhere, or the top of mount Everest in order to get some coins?

Also, your dev node idea has too many problems to even list. What's to prevent anyone from making some crappy "game" that is very bot-friendly, distributing to themselves through dummy accounts?

Any sort of imbalance in the amount of returns on creating a node will simply cause all large investors to create only the most profitable node types, and you have far too many to balance correctly. It seems like some were added as an afterthought as a way to use the phrase "Pentanode" in the marketing.

Decentralized and free from any government control? The concept of requiring "The XP Foundation Mothernode" and a centralized team that's in charge of handling the creation of a few of the node types DIRECTLY contradicts that notion.

According to the exchanges this coin is already dead on arrival, this isn't even worth my time, and anyone dumb enough to buy any deserves to lose their money.

You are looking at the geonode and assuming a lot. the locations will be at existing events that people will already be going to. (not on the top of a mountain as you suggest). the word node that marketing used is not necessarily a node like a masternode persay.. as a geo node that works on the exact same premise as pokemon go introduces issues such as gps spoofing plus i would hate to try and get an internet connection or mobile connection on everest. the cold would likely cause your battery to go flat before you get to the top. this coin is a project that's very much alive and you'll lose money if you put it into a dead project. however look at the community and team it has first. thats the real driver.

yeah im one of the developers lol

the everest example is a valid one, just it won't be on top of the mountain. will be where the event takes place. e.g. climb a mountain. you get there and claim the xp at the start of the event. the issue behind the wording is most likely because the whitepaper wasn't written by a developer. it was wrote by a member of marketing instead.

the whitepaper is an initial draft of the idea behind the coin. this got ideas flowing but now needs to be structured and finalised. somethings will no doubt be removed and worded better. like the foundation mothernode.

as a coin we have had scaling issues with the large amount of jp users joining us. so we have had to improve our infrastructure the start of this year along with hiring more staff. were up to 74 positions ranging from marketing to developers moderators.

I don't really feel like I have anything good to say after this rather negative experience in this thread, all I can say is if you have 74 people and the logical contradictions of the statements made in the white paper, on the website, and in this post somehow made it past all 74 of you, then I foresee issues in the project's future considering you're trying to make a working economy based on several types of staking with nodes, and that isn't as trivial as misspeaking about something. But perception matters a lot, and people will become increasingly skeptical of claims made by any team as the market develops.

yeah which is understood. sorry for the negative experience you've had. and thanks for the discussion i welcome a healthy debate.

at the time the whitepaper was written the team wasn't 74 members large. and we didnt have a 48k user base in japan. this had to happen after the growth the community saw. as the timeline of events that happened after caused the need for more members.

as with any projects mistakes happen and you learn from that experience and apply it. that's how you succeed.

so far were writing up documentation behind the point of sale systems and economy mods that some game servers will be using. and hired a team of game moderators for this purpose. they are currently testing a 3d survival game made by a community member using xp as a rewards system (play to earn).

actions speaks louder than words which is why were working to produce integration tools for developers to use for easy implementation along with giving the community dedicated gaming servers that are given to us from our sponsor (data centre in a cold war bunker) who support our project with any hardware we require. some of these servers were handing off to the jp and korean community to jumpstart their projects

There's also things people don't foresee as when this growth happened we started getting attacked with ddos and various hacking techniques. due to this we've recently had to upgrade our firewall. and swag a nice cloudflare pro deal.

Being a crypto coin makes you a target on the internet.

Disclaimer: I am not a gamer, a skill I never learned. So the idea of playing for XP is beyond me.

That said, I love the idea that people (even me) could be rewarded for civic engagement, participation in sports and other options. What a concept! Get paid for doing the right thing.

Am I interested? You better believe it. I'll be in the room at Adsactly before all the electrons on this page have all appeared as black and white...

Are you seriously trying to say that it was an honest mistake?

Are you really trying to say that one of the few comments of substance on the thread was misconstrued to be the writings of a bot, when one can simply scroll down and see that of the many comments that are obvious spam you glossed over all of them and only chose to flag one comment that might dampen the interests of potential buyers?

Unless you rectify your behavior in the future you have lost what little respect I had for your platform, I know that my opinion is meaningless in the steemit scale of things considering your ~650,000 SP and many whale allies, but I hope you know that dealing with potential CUSTOMERS in such a manner will do nothing but bring your reputation in the wider crypto community down.

Deal with things in a forward way and do not be afraid to handle criticism, or you'll never hear the end of it from those willing to take you to task. I'm sure you're aware of many teams who have been unable to recover because of their inability to deal with difficult questions about their grand claims.

I like how you express your thoughts. You write lengthy comments and it's commendable.

I just found the reason for the flag interesting given they don't ever flag other bots, or even any of the other spammers within the thread or in their other posts.

I see that they have reversed the flag.

I try to not write too much, and I don't try to complain without cause. I'm just trying to help literally everyone on this site out in whichever way I can, and that mostly happens to be with my constructive criticism for now.

True friend, true, which is why I have never flagged anyone or desired for any statements to be hidden. Everything is a lesson in its own way, even true spam or other "undesirable" comments.
