The state of the Steem nation
Despite the current situation on exchanges where blood stained streets offer no comfort even for the hardest bulls, ADSactly moves on to new horizons and probes various means of securing the best possible future positions for its members. The downfalls have always secured good opportunities on any market at any time in the past, and this is not an exception. The ones with money are always and will always be buying more whilst its low.
As far as the steem goes, the rewards have drastically decreased, forcing many people away from the platform, looking for better means of providing. Ned's lukewarm, half-hearted interview, without answering any questions, conducted by his employee at Steemfest in Krakow surely didn't help much. Also, his avoidance of the general crowd didn't help at all. When we put all this in perspective with the ongoing powerdown of his account to bittrex exchange, guess the man is fed up with all this and is moving on. We wonder what happened with Steem's smts which were promised over a year ago but never saw the light of the day.
What will the future of steem be, is quite unclear at this moment. Steemit INC is obviously moving manpower away from further developing, leaving it up to the wider community to develop and thrive. We have several good projects in progress but not sure there is a breakthrough yet. Steemmonsters is a step in a positive direction, opening new horizons, but one swallow doesn't make the spring.
Steem needs investors badly. However, half-finished product, still in beta, is hardly a bait for serious business people who plan to base their operations on the blockchain. They want to see guarantees and be able to write business plans based on their investment which is impossible to do with bearish instability and various other human-related factors that could jeopardize investments.
Please, let us know what your future vision of steem is and elaborate it with facts.

I'm still having a good feeling about this. For me it is clear the devs behind steemit are putting alot of effort in smt's which btw are having a announced date aswell for the testnet as for the official release. If you want to do things right it can cost some time. Oke, I wanted to see things happen faster like alot of people, however if you ask me it is just a matter of time. Steemmonsters is not the only thing that happened, we got lot's of other applications and efforts by people doing their best to make this work and sustain what we already achieved. Hopes and dreams... Yes with a good portion of taking action, stimulating people in and around the project. Also when the next cryptoboom will be in progress we'll see alot of incomming talent. I advice everyone to take action, inform people about what they can mean, how they can contribute and stimulate in a positive way. You got an idea, how small it might look, talk about it with someone, write it down, contact others who have skills that fit in the picture and work togheter. The steemitplatform has already reached a nice growth compared to other platforms in their beginningdays which is a very positive sign. Also with smt's knocking at the door more developers will come to take atleast a look and bring idea's and interesting applications aboard. Let us look back in 1 year and see what has been added. I'm sure you will see a difference and aswell feel it in your wallet.

STEEM can get new investors when it is redily available and trades with everything else.
Someone Must Build a Centralized Exchange
Steemit Market
We have a Steemit Market, but that is only good for small volume trades between Steem and SBD. Have you ever looked at the large transactions? They never use the Steemit Market. They can't use the market. They also can't trade against other currencies. They are forced to take the large sums of STEEM and SBD offsite to a real exchange. Those exchanges are taking fees that profits the exchange. Steemit doesn't benefit from these large trading volumes. I've also seen the Steemit market manipulated by large transaction to affect price which can negatively affect users trying to use the market.
BlockTrades
This is not a solution either due to high fees. BlockTrades is an Over The Counter (OTC) exchange. It will never compete with a real exchange and no one uses it for very large transactions.
Both of these trading options have their place, but there is a massive vacuum where a Steem Exchange should be.
The Fix
I propose that the Someone build and operate an exchange. The Steemit Market can remain just like it is to cover small volume trades between STEEM and SBD. BlockTrades can remain just like it is to handle simple OTC transactions. The Exchange would work on a virtual currency system just like other exchanges use. One can transfer STEEM or SBD to the new exchange before trading takes place. That will fix the transaction speed issue from drowning the Steemit Market and provide another option. The exchange will also need to include other currencies. This would fix the volume issue and add revenue. Let's also give multilingual options. Open this up to the rest of the world. German, Russian, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese just to list a few.
This exchange can charge a tiny fee on trades just like any other exchange, then they can generate revenue. Exchanges are highly profitable by doing this. Trades between STEEM and SBD can remain free as there is no cost to transfer STEEM and SBD. STEEM will also be a primary trading pair which will boost STEEM as a popular world currency. By adding other currencies and charging trading fees, they create a source of new revenue.
An exchange will bring in new users to this platform. Other major exchanges have around 10 million users. Binance has exceeded this in less than a year. Steemit is over 2 years old and barely broken 1 million users. If Steemit Inc runs an exchange, this will create an avenue for Steem Exchange account users to become Steem account owners. The amount of visibility to this platform would be enormous. Value would be added to Steem platform as the value is expected to follow Metcalfe's Law. This is an exponential value prediction that Facebook closely resembled in which value is expected to increase by 4 times for every time the number of active users doubles. STEEM is expected to follow Metcalfe's Law.

Whether the price dropped or not, I will still continue to blog on steemit because steemit has been part of me. I see a great future for steem definitely and things will still turn around very soon. It may look discouraged now but things will soon turn around. Cryptocurrency boom will happen by January or February I guess and we will all gain from it by then. And those who have left will be regretting that they left steemit.
Let us continue to blog on steemit because it is a passion for me now

You can say louder, but not clearer! I am optimistic with Steem and believe that we are at a time when the crypto currencies, even the bitcoin, are going down. It's not just a steem trend and any money market is supposed to have its ups and downs, and that's normal, and even healthy. I think there are a lot of people supporting the community with new and creative projects and that's the attitude right now. Rather than walk away or give up, maybe this is a good time to sow and invest. When we look at our wallets or realize how low the voting has gone, maybe we get hopeless and lose the desire to write. A lot of work for nothing. But before this situation is that we must do of tripas heart and to publish, to support the others, to continue rowing! After having invested money and time in this community, throwing in the towel cannot be the next step! This is when the teams must support each other and find a way to win the game. We can't stop watering our dreams!

I cannot give a very well-founded opinion on the immediate or subsequent future of Steemit, much less on cryptomoneda, because I lack the information that allows for a specialized and close relationship with the keys that animate the movement. Although, obviously, I aspire to obtain monetized rewards from my participation in Steemit, it is sustained by my interest in sharing what I write (essays, poems, comments, etc.) with as many readers as possible on the platform; so I will stay on it producing, as I have done so far.
As some point out, it is very certain that the currency situation will improve, that there will be some recovery in the coming months, and that is a common desire. If so, welcome change for the better.
Thank you @adsactly for sharing this information and reflection on the current state of Steemit. Greetings.

We cannot surrender at this time, on the contrary we must make the most of this circumstance of downward trend in the world of crypto currencies. We must act as real investors and do as they take advantage of the declines to invest more, thinking that when everything goes back up in the market, will be there when you see the profits. So let's continue betting on Steemit and doing what we like most: publishing, commenting, making community on this platform. Always with optimism and positive attitude in the face of adversities that are also temporary. Thanks @adsactly and the team for this excellent project.

I think its lack of STEEM being readily available for transactions in other markets and its very bad. A lot of investors cannot afford to wait any longer and it seems after it has been listed on net fix it has no improvement whatsoever. Nobody likes a crumbling investment, steem used to be talk of the town earlier but as it stands now a lot of people are checking out and its not good for the community.

Yea you are right. This topic has always been one of the hottest and the most discussed topic on steemit since the steem price have fall drastically.
With the present situation around, it is quite frustrating to continue on steemit and to tell you the truth, it is only those with dedication and love for steemit will still continue on steemit presently because both the price of steem has dropped making also the reward to dropped drastically.
I still believe that this present Situation will not last long and there will be soon a turn around in the price. No one can escape this type of situation when we are dealing with Cryptocurrency. There will always be a fall in price at one time and there will always be rise in price also at one time so I still believe everything will still turn around very very soon.
