I agree with the fact that students seem to have an aversion to working hard. It does seem to be a reflection of our society. We were just talking the other day about our friend's son who landed a great part-time job in a mechanics shop. The student was in high school and it was a great opportunity to not only earn money but to learn several skills. He quit after two days. He said it was too much work. We were stunned. His parents work hard, but apparently, he has become quite comfortable in the life they have provided him. He just doesn't see a need to put forth that kind of effort. Very sad.
