When it comes to making a decision there are many factors that we must take into account to choose (or create) the option that most satisfies us. Maybe some people feel that it is an exaggeration to write down our thoughts before taking action, today I will show you, on the contrary.
When we heard about this technique, I was a bit unbelieving, as it seemed a bit childish and without a joke. However, we had to remove our hat from Edward Bono.
Edward Bono is the creator of "the six thinking hats". It is a simple technique, since all we need to use them is our imagination.

This was one of the first techniques we use to expand our creativity, when they also practice it they will often know why I recommend it.
Hats to solve problems
The technique works in the following way, when a problem arises or a situation that we have to think our decision very well, we must imagine six hats in front of us and we will put them in turns.
Each one has a different color and when we put them on, it is mandatory to think according to the color of the hat.
What colors do we have to choose?
- White
- Red
- Black
- Yellow
- Green
- Blue
The order is optional, but it is recommended that you write.
There is no time limit to have the hat on, however, when we use the red one we only have to last 30 seconds for the answer to be as honest as possible. Next, we will see why.
How should we think depending on the color?
White
Describe the situation being as objective as possible, avoid concepts such as "good", "important", "sad", and so on.
Example:
From: I lost "a lot" money, "they're going to kill me"
To: I lost "X" amount
Red
When we put on this hat we will concentrate on expressing all the feelings that the situation generates us, we remember the time limit, if we think too much we could manipulate our response unconsciously.
Example:
I am afraid of not finding them and impotence because I do not remember what happened yesterday
Black
As soon as we have it in our heads, all the criticisms / barriers that can occur during our search for the solution will arise.
Example:
They fell on my way home, they stole them or they must be under some furniture well hidden.

Yellow
On the contrary, black, let's look for the positive aspects of undertaking our search and find out why it is worthwhile to keep trying.
Example:
Finding them will free me of some pending debts and, in passing, buy me some refreshments
Green
We take our creative side and begin to think about possible solutions to the problem.
Example:
Write down each step of the previous day, move each piece of furniture in the house as if it were a treasure hunt, devise a plan to recover them by selling something

Blue
We take the reins of our lives, we begin to analyze each answer of the hats and also what will be the steps to follow to solve the problem.
Example:
I will start writing down my previous day and when my memory is blurred, I will begin to search among the furniture, in case the search is unsuccessful, it is time to devise a business plan.
Possibly it was a very simple example; however, the technique applies to any situation of daily life, as well as in our investment decisions in the world of cryptocurrencies. It is enough to be creative and adapt it to our needs.
