So.. we ended up in Pattaya. When we came back from Koh Samet, we were trying to decide where to go. We really wanted to take the bus to Cambodia, because it was only like 2 hours with bus. But they said that we had to switch busses twice and due to the issue that they do not say where you are when you take the bus in Thailand, we considered that we can do that next time.. hehe.
So we ended up on an bus to Pattaya insted. The bus just dropped us off by the main road, so we had to walk for about 20-30 minutes to find the hotel, and that was fine, it was so just SO.HOT.
When we arrived we bought a beer!
I have been in Pattaya once before, and I am not really impressed..
Sure, you have a beach and cheep beer (and food). You also have prostitutes standing along the beach in the evening and a big market for the purchase of all kinds of sexual services. It’s not cozy. There are also trash all over most of the streets and in the sea it flows oil..
I of course had to show Helèna the popular “Walking street”. This first picture is from google:
Yes, there are as many people there as in the picture and the music is so loud that you almost do not hear yourself. But worth a trip if you are already in Pattaya.
We also swam a lot in pool, ate good food, drank lots of good beer, sat on the beach until midnight and talked about everything and nothing, met some people and got some friends..
After two days in Pattaya, we were thinking about taking the train up north, but ended up buying plain tickets because they were really cheap..
Here we come Udon Thani!
Udon Thani up in my next post!
All pictures taken with my camera.
