Many people currently “advertise” themselves as Social media Influencers, in a effort to gain free products or further promote their own lifestyle.

When gauging whether someone is credible or not there are a few things to take into account.

1.Did they approach you? Unless they have a connection to your product or yourself, if they are in high demand they wouldn’t be reaching out to you.

  1. What’s following like? Do they have a large social media following or a lifestyle which supports the basis they are “exclusive”?
  2. Are they running bots to produce a fake number of profiles? This is very common on Instagram, with many people who have “thriving” instagram accounts with average content.
  3. Do they have dedicated blog followers or influence over a market demographic? Unless these so called influencers have the ability to increase purchase channels or drive traffic to your website, then they are useless and you ma well be wasting good stock them.
Unfortunately you may be better off giving merchandise to people who are naturally on the fringe of the “influencer” lifestyle and asking them, as they generally have real time influence and engaging audience due to sincere interacting.

This is something we have dealt with in the recent future, and although sometimes you may be taking a leap of faith with some advertising, try and use due diligence before engaging someone’s services.50AEEA25-57F0-43A1-8702-42F79661D451.jpegA8943B37-54AD-4612-BD8B-32602F374DBE.jpeg
