This is what I call a work guide! I'm not sure how I feel about it being a Christmas present but you know what your brother appreciates ;) You spent a lot of time writing that and you included everything what I would. Even some personal experience - great!
I have a lot of experience in corporate and I would also include something about not showing to your manager that he/she is incompetent in what he/she is doing :D That's also very helpful.
I also had one guy who truly hated me. I ignored him completely until one day when he sent a very humiliating e-mail to me with other people in CC. At that time I engaged HR as that was enough. He still hates me but I didn't receive any e-mails from him anymore :D
Congratulations on the first job of your brother and I'm sure that your guide will be a great help for him! I would love to have something like that when I started to work in an office :)

I knew as soon as I clicked print that I’d start thinking of more things to add. I guess that’s why there are so many books out there! Great addition, I would definitely agree and would add that to the list.
