Fifth in the Aetherverse language series. I created Rosc pretty early on in the process of writing The Aetherverse. I wanted it to sound Slavic but it has a lot of elements of Arabic/broadly Semitic grammar. I have a hard time pronouncing actual Russian so I can barely pronounce my own fictional pseudo-Russian.
Rosc was originally a non-human language that came to be adopted by a human population subjugated by alien conquerors. Since the humans' uprising and independence from their invaders, use of the language has continued to the present day. It isn't a commonly spoken language outside of the Rosc Occupied Territories.
