We need a movie about the one time a handful of American Airmen actually risked imprisonment to save a handful of refugees while everyone else from the President to the Joint Chiefs to the enlisted forces to the voters who set the agenda was happy to condemn tens or hundreds of thousands more to slaughter at the hands of our enemies.
In an unimaginably vast sea of bureaucratic ineptitude, people with an utter lack of moral fibre or backbone, and sheer malice, these pilots and air crew are the real heroes. The very, very rare real heroes that Hollywood has been depicting, in fiction, for decades.
May they all get laid for their service, and be treated to veterans discounts in perpetuity.
