Another quotable gem from the president of South Africa: " 'Corruption in Africa' is sometimes exaggerated"

in africa •  7 years ago

What can one say, I love South Africa. The people, the landscape and cultures make it beautiful. Occasionally the weeds need to be pulled from a garden and our current president happens to be a parasite strangling the country.

It also speaks for the soul of Africa. As much as we are improving and routing out our past, we need to admit we aren't perfect. This textbook deflection doesn't move the continent towards progress, merely adds a smoke screen for corrupt leaders.

Rise up Africa, be the change you want to be. Follow our neighbours Zimbabwe and depose the enemies of the people.
