I'm going to Uganda, Africa in less 8 days, and I'm super pumped about it:) :)
I can hardly contain myself! This is my favorite time of the year and only a handful of people will relate to this feeling.
I've been taking trips and leading teams into Uganda as a a part of my work as a Team Leader and Administrative assistant of the missions organization Hope's Cry International.

Hope's Cry

They are a US based non-profit, operating in Uganda to bring humanitarian aid, community development, child care and education, as well as a hundred other things! The work they do is incredible and I can't wait to go back and get my hands dirty for the work:)
If you've never been on a mission trip to a developing country, you need to go! It will change your life to see things from that perspective. There is a hopeless world who needs you.

Uganda!!

Uganda is deep in the heart of Africa. The country is about the size of the US state Oregon, but is home to 40 million people! That's insanely over populated!!!

fun fact: Uganda is home to lake Victoria, the source of the Nile River!

The land is rich, the people are gracious, and the sky is so pure and clear. But more than anything, the work I do there is what stays with me, what drives me to return year after year. I live for this:) What drives you? What do you live for? What's something you believe in? Chase after it and don't ever slow down!
