I'm creating a course on the History of Science & Technology from an African perspective. Here is the first video. The inspiration for this video was a realization that the focus of much of the discussion around science and technology in the world is told from a Eurocentric perspective. Due to this Eurocentricity, Africa is often left out, distorted or diminished in these discussions. When science is taught this way, people end up developing a blind spot for the African experience.
