MY EXPERIENCE IN THE UNIVERSITY OF PORT-HARCOURT NIGERIA

Achievement, success, greatness must start with a step as they say.
I decided to take a bold step into the university of port-Harcourt to achieve my goals and aim in life because education enhances or create more opportunities to greatness, thinking was going to be a smooth journey but I was mistaken, I totally forgot no good thing comes easily and I tasted a hit in my first semester, firstly getting into the university of port-Harcourt was so stressful but all thanks to God almighty for making my admission possible, Although it was late I resumed a month after the main resumption date, it was not really easy trying to meet up with my notes, lectures, and clearance, especially clearance was a hell of a step as well as getting my admission letter I trekked down to Ash groove under a hot sun literally every day got me tired, talking about GES that was a survival of the fittest, medicals was more harder and pressing that I ever imagined. GES took me two weeks, medical three days, physical clearance five days and my faculty and departmental clearance was not really that stressful.
Accommodation problem: accommodation became one of my major problem that almost took my life in the process due to my late resumption I could not book a hostel or get a house closer to school, so I saw a house at Rumuosi, not really that conducive like home, mosquito, beetle etc. I got sick everyday I could not read neither concentrate because I was mentally down, I felt like giving up at the process but my elder brother who has graduated Kept encouraging me to focus and be more consistent that I will get over it soon, I had no choice school fees was already paid, so I have to stand firm and maintain at the same time.
Before I could sort out my accommodation, test has already started, I was not in a balanced system that's because my health was affected, my notes was incomplete and more especially I was confused and pained I could not express myself to anyone. Even when I tried reading I felt this structured tiredness, emptiness In my brain due to my body system was not use to the pattern of stress through the university of port-Harcourt.
The only thing that kept me strong was my ambition towards success I just have to over come the hindrance despite it was not an easy task.
The main aim and conclusion towards writing this, is to alert u on the alarming problems you could likely face as a fresher into any university but what will get u moving is your ambition and passion for what you have come to achieve, life treat us rough to test our maturity, but don't panic maintain your steeze and know that giving up is never an option it will rather worsen your rough beginning.
Thanks you
