LEONARDO DA VINCI (The Painting Master )

LEONARDO DA VINCI (1452-1519)

Was born in Vinci, Italy, in a peasant family women called Caterina. Shotly after Leonardo's birth , she left the boy in care of his father. By that time Leonardo fiftyteen years old. His father knew his son had artistic talent. He arranged for Leornado to become an apprentice to the famous painter Andrea del Verrocchio.
Da Vinci is regarded as one of the famous and influential painters in the World.
By 1472 when he was 20 years old, Leonardo had become a master in painters guild of Florence. He worked in Florence until 1481 before moving to the city of Milan.
In Milan he kept a large workshop and employed many apprentices.
During this time he began keeping a small pads of paper tucked in his belt for sketching.
He later organized the drawings by theme and assembled the pages into notebooks.

Seventeen years later he returned to Florence where he was welcomed with great honour. In this time he painted some of his masterpieces. Not only that, he also made scientific studies, including disections, observations of flight of birds and research on the movement of water currents.
In 1516 he was invited to live in France by the King., where he was granted a freedom to pursue his interests. He was living in a small house near by the King summer palace. There he spent most of hisi time sketching and dealing with his scientific researches.

In his life he is remembered for his famous artworks like
