... Just like People ... Corn can look/grow abnormal when soil pH is low and not getting required Nutrition for optimal growth.

Very true isachick - great point!
Epsom salts can very good for this problem, and can really help green up anaemic yellowing leaves if the problem is serious!
Also one can use sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) in your water to raise total alkalinity and sodium carbonate (soda ash) to raise pH — the exception being if both total alkalinity and pH are low.
