Automatic Head Lamps...Dumbest Decision in India

in aho •  7 years ago  (edited)

Good news! Now roadside well wisher Indian citizen needn't worry abt the bike riders' headlights in the day time anymore. Govt of India mandated BS4 & AHO(Automatic Headlamps On) technologies for new bikes manufactured in 2017. My brother bought Bajaj V15 with AHO which is not provided with Headlight switch. The lights wil be on through out the day and all the well wisher roadside passers say "Hi" to him. On an average 20 people per ride warn him abt thebike headlights and Sometimes people r so serious that they look at him as if they wanna stop him and hit him.

This AHO is in implementatn in some foreign countries to avoid accidents bcz of fog throughout the day. In India too it makes sense only in few Northern regions. But in South India, itz just irritatng and economical burden to the riders. And sometimes it sends wrong indication to the vehicles coming in the opposite.

Kudos..The first dumbest decision implemented by Govt of India in 2017!

I do agree..... And the funny fact is that even the policemen don't know about these headlights....
I have even seen some policemen trying to take action because the headlights were on... Later they were told that its a govt norm.... So frustrating!
