Shello's Diary #14 - The Special Issue

Where have I been, and what have I been up to lately? Good evening friends and followers, welcome to the special issue of my diary! Many things have happened lately, and I wanted to share with you a bunch of the things going on around me, and in my life this evening.

First things First!

If you haven't already, please be sure to check out the recent posts by fellow friend and Steemian @bollutech! He is a good person with a golden heart that I chat regularly on Discord, just about random things and our days c: Why this is important to me, is because he is trying to crowdfund help from Steemians to help fulfill his dream and receive tech training!

The story behind it, is that I came across this post recently where he was asking the community for help. This struck me as odd, because he never once asked me for anything! Turns out, that he works a regular job to sustain himself and make his parents happy, but they want him to be a doctor, and not pursue a career in computers. He really doesn't want his dream to die, and I don't either. I am attending school for CIS (Computer Information Systems), and when I saw him in chat always being positive and encouraging, then learning about this- It really broke my heart.

He used his Steemit earnings to buy a computer,
and needs a little more to afford training.

If you have a vote you can give today, I would very much like it to go to him! Or if you can send him 1-2 SBD, it would go a long way to making his dream come true. You don't have to be starving or in bad health to get help from others, and I feel that his goal is a great cause!

I Received a Delegation

I was one of the people who bought a 25K Delegation from @berniesanders to use this week. This was a rabbit hole on it's own, with many learning experiences along the way! If you are interested in what I used it on, there will be a #newsteem post from me next week, covering all the action in detail! With more focus on abuse, scams, and concern around delegations recently, how did I do? Will I have used this power to it's fullest? I invite everyone to come find out.

There Will be a Contest

On a related note, I will be using this delegation to vote posts in a contest that will be held this Friday (Thursday for me, Hawaii time) Be on the lookout for this post sometime tomorrow, with the details on how to get a 100% (starting at $2.50) vote from me as I run my VP from 100% to 0%! I Was Not Having It

The other day. I was eating with a tooth already half broken, and the other half came out. My mouth was feeling sore, and now my tooth is broken across at the gum line :c I have a dentist appoint next week for an extraction, pray for me that the ice cream I eat will be delicious! :D

My luck was really gone a little later that same day when the elevator I was in started shaking, before dropping half a floor and getting stuck. I am absolutely terrified of elevators, so I completely dropped to the floor trying to protect my head with one hand, while holding the emergency bell down with the other. It was like that for 2 minutes, and started working again. I was so relieved to be out of a situation like that. I would never wish this on anyone!

My boyfriend got sick this week, and normally I spend half the week at his house. Although he's okay with me being on Steemit, recently, I wanted to spend more time with him until he's feeling better. I feel like it would be too rude to have my face in my phone, or on his computer, when I could be helping him feel better! He's always been supportive on anything I want to do, and I appreciate his patience and kindness with me c: I want to support him too.

Shello The Space Cadet

I apologize for replying late on comments and posts- It always feels like I'm behind, so I want to let everyone know that I am definitely still here! It's embarrassing to admit how long it takes me to type comments sometimes, but I do read many posts.

I see that the Steemit community is coming together

lately to help encourage, inspire, and lead others in a positive direction, while fighting evil! I feel this is a great thing, and start to many awesome things we'll see in the coming year! It is clear to me that there are many Steemians that want to protect this place.

I will do my best to be around more for everyone, I'm just a little slow sometimes. I hope you can forgive me c:
