think that there are many people who have heard “Inaniwa udon” in Japan.
However, there are not many Japanese people who know that Inanwa udon is from Akita.
INANIWA UDON (hot)
This Inaniwa Udon is slightly wide and rugged shape, it is quite distinctive.
In Inaniwa village ,Yuzawa-city, Akita Prefecture, Udon has been made since ancient times, as it was blessed with wheat and water.
It seems that it was useful in the winter ( here, snow is really heavy ) because it is dry noodles.,so easy to store.
IINANIWA UDON(cold)
Inaniwa udon is high quality and expensive compared with other udon.
Because all the processes are hand-crafted.
It was also traditional udon dedicated to the Emperor Showa.
Famous udon restrauants are “SATOYOSUKE”(佐藤養助) and “KANBUNGONENDO”(寛文五年堂).
You can experience udon making at SATOYOSUKE.
You will see that Inaniwa Udon are really made of only wheat and water, withthoughtful manufacturing method.
