Pittsburgh-based artist John Vento has proven to be a versatile icon in the music industry. It’s obviously clear that he doesn’t believe in being confined by boundaries when it comes to music, and he successfully reflects it in his work, time and again.
Fueled by the passion to simply let his talent flow, regardless of what genre it falls in, John has come forth with another empowering collection called ‘Love, Lust and Other Wreckage’. Put simply, the record is an embodiment of the big and small aspects of life and encapsulates all the values that John holds true to his heart.
It’s a blunt, risk-free record that holds immense potential to simply click with John’s audience, and it seems likely that is exactly what he’s trying to do. The album deals with the good, the bad and the ugly of the world in a simple, yet unique way, and takes the listener on a journey which can simply be called ‘life’.
The single ‘Rainbows and Lightning’ is a good preview of how John chooses to carry the album forward and connect with his fans. The record definitely holds potential, and sets down a solid foundation for all that John has to offer in his upcoming projects.
Overall it’s a well-curated collection that will resonate with many, and will help John recognize his style and move forward with it in the years to come.
