I feel that @khursheedanwar grading system is a bit off because:
- For example, in Task 3 first problem, it's a basic equation learned in 6th grade but apparently you need to give detailed explanation, even though I went through every step you need to take to solve it and others get more points.
- Task 3 second problem, the quadratic equation, again there is no require to solve it in decimal form and again I am deducted points for this while others are not. I even thought about adding the graph representation to this point for a more "personalized answer" as he calls it but no bonus is added.
- For Task 4 scenario 1, again I feel like there is not much more explaining I can do for a simple and linear equation that I learned to do in 6th grade and I am getting deducted points for no reason
If you want to have a specific result form and are not satisfied with the radical form, than you need to be more specific in your tasks request.
Examples for other participants which didn't get deducted as much as me and don't have extra explanations done can be found here, here and here
Another problem I see often, is that points are deducted from a task even if we do exactly what you ask us to do. Let's take for example, again Task 3: you only ask us to solve the equations and share the solution for x but deduct points and leave this type of observation: "In this task you are simply solving both of the equations I have provided accurately but it will be more good if you explain your theoretical concepts by following which you are solving these equations!". Again you only ask to solve them, not explain theoretical concepts you that are already explained either in the lesson post or a previous task.
Also, I feel like Week 4 was redundant since a lot of this lesson was also presented in Week , with Task 1, Task 3 first point and a bit of Task 4 is also repeating.
The tasks for Week 2
Again, I can't wrap my head around how you can deduct 0.01 points for a task where you don't have any comments to make or how you base your post quality grade.
Comment from last weeks challenge
By checking other teachers, we can see that they have a standard grading system that applies to every participant.
Sorry if this is too much, but I can't help myself when I see a teacher deduct points left, right and center for unclear reasons. This comment is not only for me, but also for others who struggle to understand this and spend hours doing the homework.
