I recently watched a video titled,

Surprise! Alice Cooper is a Christian

I'll be honest with you, when I share this out I am expecting many people to start pointing out deeds he has done or actions they don't support.

I don't know a lot about Alice Cooper. Upon doing cursory research I see,

Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier; February 4, 1948) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor whose career spans over fifty years. With his distinctive raspy voice and a stage show that features guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, deadly snakes, baby dolls, and dueling swords, Cooper is considered by music journalists and peers alike to be "The Godfather of Shock Rock".

Cooper was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Ether Moroni Furnier (1924–1987) and his wife Ella Mae, née McCart, (born 1925). His father was an Evangelist in The Church of Jesus Christ (Bickertonite) headquartered in Monongahela, Pennsylvania.

Initially his band was headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, but they moved to Detroit, MI.

It looks like dreams Can come true.

  • Cooper was active in his church at the ages of 11 and 12. While growing up in Detroit, Cooper attended Washington Elementary School.

  • Following a series of childhood illnesses, he moved with his family to Phoenix, Arizona, where he attended Cortez High School.

  • In his high school yearbook, his ambition was to be "A million record seller."

Furnier, later known as Alice Cooper was in Cross Country and got fellow team mates to try out for a High School Talent Show.

In 1964, 16-year-old Furnier was eager to participate in the local annual Cortez High School Letterman's talent show, so he gathered four fellow cross-country teammates to form a group for the show: Glen Buxton, Dennis Dunaway, John Tatum and John Speer.

They named themselves the Earwigs. They dressed up in costumes and wigs to resemble the Beatles, and performed several parodies of Beatles songs, with the lyrics modified to refer to the track team.

Of the group, only Buxton knew how to play an instrument—the guitar—so Buxton played guitar while the rest mimed on their instruments. The group got an overwhelming response from the audience and won the talent show.

As a result of their positive experience, the group decided to try to turn into a real band. They acquired musical instruments from a local pawn shop, and proceeded to learn how to play them, with Buxton doing most of the teaching, as well as much of the early songwriting.

They soon renamed themselves the Spiders, featuring Furnier on vocals, Buxton on lead guitar, Tatum on rhythm guitar, Dunaway on bass guitar, and Speer on drums. Musically, the group was inspired by artists such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, the Kinks, the Doors, and the Yardbirds. For the next year the band performed regularly around the Phoenix area with a huge black spider's web as their backdrop, the group's first stage prop.

Here's my question after hear one theme from this video clip at the bottom where Alice Cooper speaks on knowing God, then researching the music he put out, not to mention the stage show (yes, I realize Show means show and we see Big Shows every day as all the world Is a Stage). ..is he saying he is a Christian or is he a true believer and follower of Christ?

Does his lifestyle match up?

I don't know him, so started a dig.

I see an album he put out in 1976 called Alice Cooper goes to hell. Okay, is he trying to warn people about hell or is he doing the standard Hollywood/Music/Entertainment spin of glorifying hell?

Here are the lyrics to a song on the album titled 'Go to Hell'

For criminal acts and violence on the stage
For being a brat
Refusing to act your age
For all of the decent citizens you've enraged
You can go to Hell

For gambling and drinking alcohol constantly
For making us doubt our parents authority
For choosing to be a living obscenity
You can go to Hell

You're something that never should have happened
You even make your Grandma sick

You'd poison a blind man's dog and steal his cane
You'd gift wrap a leper
And mail him to your Aunt Jane
You'd even force-feed a diabetic a candy cane
You can go to Hell

You're something that never should have happened
You even make your Grandma sick

For criminal acts and violence on the stage
For being a brat
Refusing to act your age
For all of the decent citizens you've enraged
You can go to Hell

Here is the video with lyrics.

It sounds like Cooper possibly being angry about people making Him feel this way as a kid perhaps?

He claims it was just a shtick, so was it something they could capitalize on with the costumes and vampire look to make money?

Hadn't a rebellion already started that was introduced and pushed by Tavistock institute concerning the Beatles?

Here is an interesting article,

The Beatles and the Aquarian Conspiracy

Just theorizing, you should let me know your take on it.

So let's take a look at another one.

This song was featured on the following shows,

  • the sixth episode of Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil titled "Human Sacrifice".

  • also featured in the 2009 video game Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned, the 1986 movie The American Way

  • the second season Ash vs Evil Dead episode "Last Call".

Here is the premise of Lucy Daughter of the devil, which aired on Adult Swim of cartoon network around 2007.

The show follows the titular 21-year-old Lucy, who lives in San Francisco and has been ordained by her father, the devil, to fulfill her destiny as the Antichrist, whether she likes it or not. Along the way she meets up with a DJ — Jesús — who turns out to be the Second Coming of the messiah and the two begin dating from the first episode after Lucy saves him from a fire created by her father to kill him.

Meanwhile, her father tries different schemes in his quest to take over the world with the help of his "advocate," Becky, who acts as something of a personal assistant. At the same time a group of "Special Clergy," two priests and a nun, are on a mission from the Vatican to find and destroy Lucy.

And here you see the typical Hollywood/counter culture portrayal of making the devil seem like a funny, misunderstood character who is, "not as bad as God tells us." Now who does that benefit? Humankind or satan? Whose agenda does it propel?

The Devil (H. Jon Benjamin) - The figure of pure evil, though he seems more playful and naughty than malevolent, and is willing to take over the world slowly and through schemes. Though he is certainly willing to outright kill the DJ when the possibility arises, he will also settle for lesser schemes to get him out of the way or even allow him to live if he believes he can benefit from it. He is often wearing a sweater that is reference to Bill Cosby from The Cosby Show giving him a "Dad" look.

Alice Cooper also started a drinking club. Now I realize in his day, perhaps he didn't realize that there are actual vampires and they are a gateway to hell and demonic possession literally feeding off of people. At the same time, how did he not see drinking heavily isn't helpful for anyone and when people give themselves over to drunkeness, that is just feeding into satan's enticements when one does not have control over their own actions. There is a reason they are called "spirits!"

According to Wikipedia,

The Hollywood Vampires was a celebrity drinking club formed by Alice Cooper in the 1970s. The hazing to get into the club was to outdrink all the members. According to Cooper in the documentary Prime Cuts: "The Speakeasy and Tramps were the place to be in London. There was a little loft at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in LA (W. Hollywood), they only had that for the club.

I will be doing more research on this at a later time.

This appears to be a real club and not just something for show. . .or was in it's day.

In conclusion, I don't know if the Christianity is also for "show" as Cooper claimed the whole devil style and satan lyrics were. I'm just saying it leaves me with a lot of questions. I hear him say one thing in the following clip, but when looking at aspects of his life and what his music is used for. . . just not sure.

I have also heard reports from people in the industry, some old timers I guess you would call them, who claim they would make the master demo on a literal alter to satan and would invoke or invite demonic activity to place subliminal messaging in the music so that every copy made would contain the same spells from that realm. Call it crazy, but there is evidence there are other dimensions and God has tried to protect us and keep us from accessing them for our protection.

I'm all for people trying to live out there faith in the way they feel led by God, the question becomes is that what is going on here, or is he a plant just as Alice Bailey was in her day in having all of her followers from her Lucifer Trust go into the churches, pretend to be one of them. . .but their god was satan, which they were speaking of and all they did was cause the decline you see Now days in certain churches where they have let a great deal of Hollywood influence take over God's influence!
