February 2019 sees some interesting movies releasing, ranging in subject matter from futuristic cyborg stories to a parody of a romantic comedy to a true story about fake wrestling!

Check out the 5 most anticipated movies of February 2019.

Alita: Battle Angel

The long-awaited movie Alita: Battle Angel has been in development for years. With the movie finally releasing, it's sure to create a lot of buzz for its innovative storytelling and use of unique special effects.

The movie sees a stranger future where humans are enhanced, or changed completely into new creatures with what looks to be a different class hierarchy that's been established. The story sees a young girl, who holds the key to changing this entire landscape and status quo.

The story of Alita: Battle Angel seems vague, but looks to be like others we've seen before. A technology advanced, but desolate future where one unknown messiah character will become the savior. But with Robert Rodriguez directing, the action and stunts look amazing enough to warrant a watch.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

After the unprecedented critical and commercial success of The Lego Movie back in 2014, the sequel has been highly awaited by many. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part sees the return of the entire all-star cast led by Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks, as well as many newcomers such as Tiffany Haddish.

While the threat last time involved an invader from the real world, this time around, it's a different brand of LEGO, the Duplos that invade from outer space and threaten to destroy everything for our heroes.

The first Lego Movie was, pardon the pun, awesome. I've supremely excited for the sequel, and the trailer already features LOTS of inside jokes and meta references, such as a new character that seems to be an amalgamation of all the other movie roles of Chris Pratt. It should be interesting to see how this sequel performs, given that we've had two more Lego movies since the first; The Lego Batman Movie and Ninjago.

Fighting With My Family

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was initially producing a docu-series about the WWE wrestler Paige, which has now been adapted into a feature film that looks as hilarious as it is dramatic. Featuring the life story of a real-life wrestler, Fighting With My Family showcases the ambition of young wrestlers from the UK trying to make it, along with the hard work and heartbreak that inevitably follows.

With cameos by The Rock himself, Fighting With My Family is sure to be an interesting film given its genre and subject matter.

Isn't It Romantic

A romantic comedy that mocks romantic comedies? Talk about one of the best kinds of satire. Rebel Wilson leads an amazing cast in this new movie that's all about parodying all the tropes of a typical rom-com. And it looks wonderful.

The trailer showcases Wilson as she tries to figure out what's going on in her life, as everything is more beautiful, stylized and glossy. It's the exact counter-programming that will appeal to broad audiences. Perfect date-night movie for the guys and girls.

How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World

The final film in the How To Train Your Dragon trilogy concludes with The Hidden World. After the amazing stories of Hiccup and his origins dealing with both his mother and father in the first two movies, the third story delves into the origins of the Dragons of this world.

The first two films of this franchise were amazing, and this final film looks just as good. The film looks like it has as much heart, warmth, and humor as its predecessors, along with the high stakes to make it an engaging watch.
