The speech of Elihu: The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress. Job 37:23

The Book of Job in the Bible is considered one of the Sapiential Books along with Proverbs, Wisdom, and Ecclesiastes. In a certain sense, the character Job is a metaphor for the people of Israel, who many times could not understand, faced with the facts of history, the designs of the divine providence.
The spiritual purpose of the Book of Job is to teach the importance of the gift of fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion) and the poverty of spirit, that is, the humility of heart, because as the speeches of Job and his friends, Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar, demonstrate, man is unable to glimpse with his limited mind the greatness and wisdom of the Lord.
The book tells how Job, subjected to misfortune, commits the arrogance of becoming Judge of God, and his three friends with their speeches, although they are endowed with a certain human wisdom, fail to reach any clear point; and this is where Elihu appears, Job's fourth and last friend.
And Elihu with his speech addresses the answer to Job's problem in another way, according to Elihu, many times God uses suffering to instruct men in the practice of good.
This is why Elihu in his speech wisely told to his friend Job:
"But those who suffer he delivers in their suffering;
he speaks to them in their affliction.
He is wooing you from the jaws of distress
to a spacious place free from restriction,
to the comfort of your table laden with choice food.
But now you are laden with the judgment due the wicked;
judgment and justice have taken hold of you" Job 36:15-17.
And so Elihu ended his speech affirming that God is evident to man's reason through his works, and that his greatness is beyond even to the wisest men, that is why the Lord is feared and it is not sensible to become God's judge:
"The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;
in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.
Therefore, people revere him,
for does he not have regard for all the wise in heart?" Job 37:23-24.
