Track your Altcoins performance in a single page

in altcoins •  7 years ago  (edited)

Do you happen to own any altcoins? Maybe you are like me, and you like to diversify or even bet a horse that has not even yet entered the race and end up with a sizable amount of various alt coins in many exchanges. And that can lead to a lot of confusion and even critical mistakes...

So with no further introduction, I present to you the Altcoin Portofolio. Its a script written in Pine language from my friend Pinkarmy, that can be run free of charge in the www.tradingview.com network. It supports the majority of alt coins and can even take the median price from a lot of exchanges. An excellent way to judge which crypto's are under/over performing and to also see any correlation between them.

And yes, it supports Steem!

The image you are seeing is a customized version of the Altcoin Portfolio, as you can see it has 2 windows, the first one is for my current portfolio and the other one for the portfolio shifted from. (so as to understand whether I took the right choice or not) But the utility remains the same, every coin is tracked individually as well as with the overall performance of the portfolio.

You can find the original version of the script here: https://www.tradingview.com/script/pfeu0NiF-Altcoin-Portfolio/

I am also thinking of adding a % correlation to the overall performance for every coin (i.e. if a coin is making less than the portfolio average, to display a message) Will let you know for any upgrades in a future post.

So this is it, my first contribution to Steemit, and I hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to drop any comments at the section below.

Good, I currently monitor my portfolio using Google Sheets (a custom one that I have built to suit my own needs). I took a dive into the platform and script you share, kind of cumbersome to maintain and follow through (and gets info from Poloniex and Bittrex but not from CoinMarketCap or CryptoCompare which would be better choices in my opinion). I think the tool has potential if it can be done more suitable for people that do not want to get into the code itself. I have followed you and upvoted.
