There are a lot of counterfeit products being sold on Amazon. Like many of us, I'm used to being sceptical of 'Apple' accessories such as charge cables or earpods.
However, this is my first encounter with a counterfeit Easter Egg.
I intuited that something didn't feel right, but if I hadn't had a genuine product in the same box I might have dismissed my suspicions.
Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't appear to take counterfeit products very seriously. There isn't even a category for reporting counterfeit products in a return slip, or a clear way to report an unscrupulous seller.
Amazon needs to be less complacent in protecting its genuine sellers, as well as the public. It's certainly no longer my preferred supplier for fancier brands. Better to buy direct from source.
