I've always loved Amazon, I use them a lot. But the unmodifiable default to Subscribe-N-Save, rather than a one-time purchase which is done by me and I'm sure everyone else vastly more often...
Well, if it was Google in the early days (I started in 2004), this would be a clear violation of "Don't Be Evil" that would never be allowed to launch.
It's such a negative-sum move to make it so easy for people to do the wrong thing - profit at the expense of users - that it impacts my opinion of the entire company & its culture.
