The ROAD to ACAPULCO
In Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, Bilbo Baggins points out that one never knows to what destiny one may be swept away when one dares to step out on the road. So it comes as no great surprise that I didn’t know when I met John David Garcia in 1984 that I’d be hitting the road to Acapulco in my quest to find or create an ethical society.
I was first introduced to the concept of an ethical society when I met
John David and read his book, Creative Transformation. I knew at once that John David’s genius had the potential to solve humanity’s biggest challenges – though it wasn’t until a few years later that I realized that our biggest challenge is the fact that our decision-making institutions consistently make unethical decisions. When we solve this simple dilemma (simple...but not easy) the ill effects of these decisions will cease to apply – and we can realistically expect thereafter to enjoy a world of peace, prosperity, and freedom.
Thirty-two years and thousands of miles later, the solution is in hand. We know now how to create ethical societies and how to deploy this knowledge in a way that can beneficially transform human life. And we have begun demonstrating this new paradigm by forming an Octologue here in Acapulco. Under the brilliant leadership of AnCap entrepreneur Michael Nimetz, the first Acapulco Octologue has been organized and is setting in motion a number of initial projects that will demonstrate, once and for all, the power of this extraordinary social technology.
Already the existing Acapulco Octologue has identified the need to create half a dozen more Octologues, each serving a particular ethical purpose in conjunction with one another. By the time those are operating, we’ll see the opportunity to establish scores more… and so on, until the entire world has endorsed the methodology. The turning point, at which HoloMats outnumber hierarchies, is now a predictable future milestone – as it becomes common knowledge that the hierarchy is obsolete, and a massive migration into HoloMatic organizations begins.
So I urge the reader to get on board – to hit the road to Acapulco – either literally or figuratively. By “figuratively” I mean you can effect the transformation in your present location by studying the links in this article and then attending one or more of our workshops. If you have a group ready to do this, we’ll even bring the workshop to you.
Alternatively, you could come to Jeff Berwick’s “Anarchapulco 2017” event in February – or if you are ready to commit to a life-changing experience, you can ride, float, sail, fly, or drive here – stay on for while, and then decide whether you want to go back to your former life. For those of us living here the experience might be called Anarchapulco 24/7/365. We loved the camaraderie of the last Anarchapulco in February, and now get to experience the excitement of it all day, every day, year round. I don’t know what kind of life you want to live – but this is the life I’ve always wanted. I invite you to check it out for yourself.
