I've learned so much from watching guys like you, Scott Shimek and Bill Poster. My game was good before, but largely hinged on the threat of violence, since most cops are too afraid to violate the rights of an armed man who they KNOW will take a life to defend his Civil Rights.

My game is going to change quite a bit now, due to the recent allegations against me and being placed on the Terrorist Watch List. I appreciate all the help you've given me brother. We are the virus!

Excellent post. If more people stood up for themselves and exercised their rights, and at the same time educated themselves on the law, the police would have just a bit less power. Which would be good for all of the people.

Agreed! thank you for the comment. I've played the part of a rooster crowing this form hilltops until my voice gave out for a few years now. you're thought is well received!

Thanks for doing this. There's folks unaware of just how profitable being a bad cop can be, and those few that do know aren't likely to be grateful that you're exposing them, because most of them are criminals.

Either way, I doubt you get enough gratitude. Glad to see you here, where you can get some gratitude, in the form of upvotes.

Steem on!

rule number 1: to be safe dont film them :)

A quick fact regarding your rule #1: sacrificing your liberty for security will lose you both.

Lots of cameras record the police simply by being automatic. There can be neither expectation of not being recorded nor any lawful prohibition of such recording. It just isn't possible to except police from filming.

Censorship, however, is entirely possible, and happens, including self-censorship, which you here advocate.

I see it this way: honest cops doing a good job should be glad to be recorded. It will help to prove they did exactly what they were supposed to do. When cops object to being observed, which is all recording is, then it is almost certain that whatever they are doing needs to be seen as widely as possible.

There are bad cops, and they are criminals. Recording criminals committing crimes is the duty of a sovereign person, as each of us has a responsibility to commit freedom. That means taking necessary risks, such as angering criminals.

Appeasing criminals works - for other criminals. You show respect to the Don, you suck up to his Consigliere, you get a place at the table, because they can use people that feed their system.

Don't feed their system. Set your own table, and share the feast, so that other's can do the same. Just as criminals can use proselytes, so can free people.

First off They are more like guidelines than rules. Secondly, I thank you for your commenting & sharing your thoughts. I 100% Agree with about %90 of what you said. this is the area where we differ in opinion.

I do not view guideline #1 as self-censorship nor was my intention to advocate for such a self destructive thing! The logic of Guideline #1 is twofold. First, It's meant to serve as a legal trap for Law Enforcement.
If they try & charge the filmer with petty Pedestrian violations like jaywalking which they often do to Copwatchers the person filing has documentation of the Pigs malfeasance. This documentation shows that the officers actions were in fact punitive in nature opening the door to a lawsuit against the oinker. Secondly, from my outlook Copwatching is a community service & if I'm doing it I'm actually working for the LEO's potential victim. If the cops focus is shifted form what they are doing to the videographer you are not able to document properly. Often the first few seconds or minute of recording ends up being the most crucial because the police are not self censoring to the camera. The police are much more likely to violate someones rights If I catch them for a few minutes interacting with someone without their awareness. I should have articulated #1 better. fyi I'm following you now because I like the way you think. thanx for making me articulate this better! If you would, please take the time to read this article about my method & madness. http://www.themonarchreview.org/protecting-the-people-copwatching-with-mike-bluehair/
