When Greed Erode's Common Sense

Over the years we heard loads of stories of people being scammed (419) by internet schemes. In all these cases I really do not have any pity for the so called victims as in all cases their greed and desire to do a little under-hand activities for gains has led to them being scammed. If you are a sane person from United States of America what business have you got trying to benefit from someone who has told you clearly they have stolen the natural resources of their country. You will not find me trying to buy the White House or Buckingham Palace or London Bridge, nor would I expect to get a share under any circumstances of oil in Texas because neither of these are up for sale nor mine to own. Why is this hard for some people to understand?

I have a question for you: if the deal had gone through would you have paid taxes to the Government whose resource you have now obtained?

I have never been compelled to write about this trend. However the latest in the scheme of things has got my blood boiling. Here it goes - apparently someone sold the Lagoon in Lagos, Nigeria to some Olodo (idiot) for $15million USD
Bravo I say to the seller. To inter-pol I say: save your resources, do not waste time on trying to recover the money of an idiot.

Now let me break this down. Lagos was named after the lagoon by the Portuguese who first came to Nigeria many years ago. Like any communities that live near a major body of water it forms an intricate part of their social economical system; transport, fishing, trading and even farming.

So in what world does someone or anyone decide to own the lagoon? He must have been dreaming of creating so much money charging people to" live" - if only he could also charge for the air we breathe too that would be awesome!!!

My words to the "buyers" of the Lagoon in Lagos Nigeria, since you are so gullible and arrogant to consider buying the water system of a community, a God-given resource older than your lineage, let me point you in the direction for more things to buy:

• River thames in London
• Colorado River
• Hudson's Bay
• River Mississippi
• Ikpoba River
• Ogba River
• River Ethiope
• Missouri River
• Bow River - Alberta
• The Rhine
• River Benue
• Pacific Ocean
• Atlantic Ocean
• Niagara Falls
• River Nile
• River Congo
• Limpopo River
• Zambezi River
• Senegal River
• Orange River

You can do a Google search to find more.

And while you are at it, might want to consider buying the sky in Alberta so you have copyrights on the Northern Lights and probably the Chinooks too for the beautiful colours they put in the sky.

Next time you feel the urge to buy something like maybe a country, stop and think and if your next option is to buy the air then just send all your money to the Red Cross or Unicef , you are not a good custodian of it.

Finally, if for some reason you are not a discerning person and really have no clue here are my tips on how to spot a scam deal:

• Always go to the the official source
• If someone tells you of a short-cut or quick way out - DO NOT GO FOR IT
• If someone logically does not look like they should have the authority to sell something - THEN DON'T BUY IT
• If you feel funny about it - RUN
• If it smells funny - IT STINKS
• If one thinks does not line up - RUN AWAY
• If it is too good to be true - THEN IT IS
