What a place this world would be, right?

Since the beginning, humans have longed for a ruler...a master. Someone to tell them what to do and how to think. People don't want to think, nor do they want to figure things out for themselves. In today's society, this is becoming ever more obvious. It has developed into a disease.

People want the governments to solve their problems and to house them and give them food. I hear people often say, "Why isn't there a law preventing that?" or, "The government really should come in and fix these things."...."So what?" you say, "That's what governments are for and that's why we need them".  Let me ask a question, not to cause an argument, but to invoke critical thinking. What happens when the same governments that 'you elected' gain your trust by giving you things that you feel you deserve and then begin to point out the 'problems' with other country's governments? What if they begin telling the media to put these other countries on blast in order to further their own agenda? What do you do, then? Do you ignore it or do you choose to agree? If you choose to agree, do you begin to shout something like, "They are all terrorists and we should wipe them off the face of the earth!" or, "Their religion and culture are very different from ours, we should change their ways of thinking!"? 

When you rise up and begin to post hate filled statuses on Facebook and form "Anti-____" groups...Do you ever stop to think about what could be going on behind the scenes? Why are you suddenly okay with the killing of innocent people whom you most likely will never cross paths with? Why do you feel such an anger and paranoid hatred towards the people of that country?  Was it because you were told to feel that? Or maybe the media desensitized you to such an extent that you believe their every word...

So what if there wasn't a president or a prime minister or a queen to lead you? What if you decided to think for yourself? How much better would this world be with 7,000,000,000 free thinkers? Would we, as a collective human race, realize that all of this violence and hatred and desire to be led isn't needed? It's only needed by the ones who create it and then profit from it.

This post is not meant to sway you one way or another. It is not meant as a bash or a way to cause arguments or debates. It WAS, however meant to provoke critical thinking on all levels and to cause people to question everything. Ask "why?" more...we don't do that enough in this day and age.

So ask yourself, "What if there wasn't a president and we all tried really hard to just...be cool?"
