This is just a very quick and simple tutorial to show you how to root your Samsung On5 or J1 through J7 phone.
Why root your phone? Ever wanted to get rid of all that crappy bloatware that comes pre-installed on your phone that you simply can't uninstall? Well, you'll be able to do that once your rooted simple download Titanium from the play store for free. Actually every download I list is FREE!

First you'll need to go into your phones settings and click build number about 7 times. You will now have access to Developer Options in the settings. Click it and make certain "USB Debugging" is ON and "OEM Unlock" is ON as well. Now download the following, (below) to your laptop. The Samsung drivers you don't have to worry about locating and opening on your PC, the Odin Flash Tool once downloaded you'll need to extract the zip file and it's helpful to make a copy to your desktop, especially if you plan to root multiple phones or other phones in the future. The TWRP file can remain compressed, just make certain you know the location and do the same with the SuperSU file. Your computer should automatically save it to "downloads". Below I've listed the links for all four.
Samsung Drivers: http://viid.me/qhTmH5
Odin Samsung Flash Tool: http://viid.me/qdJgWx
TWRP Cusom Recovery G550T: http://viid.me/qhECzK
SuperSU: http://viid.me/qQqEYK
Now open Odin and tick the "AP" box and find the TWRP file. Make certain "Auto Reboot" and "F. Time Reset" is un-ticked. Now turn your device off, then turn it back on while holding down the power, home, and volume down button. A blue "Warning" download screen will appear. Connect your phone to your laptop and click "Start" in Odin. Wait until the top Odin bar turns green, prompting you that the download was a success. The phone screen will seem to be frozen in "downloading" mode. Simply remove the battery.
Now, your ready for the final two steps. Place the battery back into the phone. Turn the phone on and hold the power, home, and volume up button. Then screen will now have a new screen appear with an install option. Now connect your phone to your laptop again and copy the SuperSu file into the internal storage of your device. Simply find the file left click and select copy, go to "My PC" and select the external storage device (thats your phone, duh, LoL). Now save it in you phone where the folders appear. Once this is done, unplug your phone and slide the bar on the screen and tap install and select the SuperSU file you saved. Tick "Zip Signature Verification" and "Reboot after Installation", slide the bar to the right again. It will begin to install and may take about 2 minutes.
Your phone will reboot once it's done and BAM! Your now rooted! To confirm this you can download root checker from the play store here:

Now I know all this seems confusing so here's a video from LINK-IT3CH on YouTube:
This is an excellent video and I used it myself. I had wished there had been written instructions however and thus...here they are. :-)
