The giraffe, the longest neck

The giraffe has the longest neck in the world. The total height of this animal can reach 5 meters and half of the body is neck. Despite the fingers, your neck has the same number of points as ours and its level can be measured about 50 cm. diameter. The neck of the giraffes is very long, but its tongue can also be almost half a meter.

The giraffe lives in the savannah and drinks a large amount of water to be able to cope well with periods of drought. This mammal needs very little sleep; with only two hours a day he feels in top form. The nostrils of the giraffes can be closed when they need it and thus prevent them from getting dust.

The giraffe has a single direct family member, the okapi. This animal is a mixture between the giraffe and the zebra.
