Scruff the Cat

Imagine if you were at a cafe having a cup of coffee. What would you do if a stray cat came up to you and just sat there looking at you? Well, I'll tell you what I did. I told my friend to make sure the cat stays where she is now, I got up and walked to the nearest convenience store (KK Mart). I bought cat food for RM3.30 and rushed back to the cafe. She was so hungry, I could see the outlines of her ribcage. I opened up the can of cat food, poured it all on a piece of cardboard and placed it on the floor. I also bought a bottle of water, drank half, cut the bottle into half to make a bowl for her to drink out of.

Small random acts of kindness like these make my days 10x better. I imagine these cats going through a hard time looking for food in the trash cans or begging for food at the feet of customers at the Mamak. I could never turn away from a stray cat or dog, I would do the exact same thing I did for Scruff (the cat I fed). I named her after her shaggy fur. She comes to the cafe I go to often - Phix and hangs out with the customers seated outside. Whenever I go to Phix, I tend to bring along a few kitty treats or a can of cat food (just in case). There are more stray cats than there are stray dogs in ss15, that's why I only carry around cat food. After Scruff had her meal, she slept by my foot contently and didn't move until I did. She jumped onto my lap and refused to move.

My friends call me the cat-caretaker. I'm just doing what I think is right. If I had the chance to open up a pet foster home, I would.
