Indian politician Gyan Dev Ahuja says, terrorists kill 2-5 people but eating beef hurts the sentiments of thousands of people. Any "misbehavior" with cow which he termed as "Mother" won't be tolerated in India, according to his message.
Ahuja is a three-time MLA in Rajasthan.
He clarified his seemingly pro-lynching statement by saying that cow smugglers be given 2-4 slaps and tie them to a tree. He said that nobody should take law in their hands, and this sounds contradictory, but perhaps that's his way of messaging that the physical action may not be taken too far or to the extent of lynching the cow smugglers to death.
For those who don't know, this came after a week of lynching Rakbar Khan alias Akbar in Rajasthan’s Alwar.
G. Ranga Chary – active internet user – commented to a news item on Ahuja in the following words, "Lynching mobs have the tacit support of present Central government."

I saw on tv that in India, only a rumour that a person is eating beef can be enough for problems.. Pretty crazy

Yes, a rumor is enough to activate lynch mobs. People also often frame their personal enemies.
In my sincerest belief, Indian people have to wake up and do something especially given the fact that the lynching is spreading like wildfire...
