In late spring and summer, roe deer feed on herbs, grass and fresh shoots of trees and shrubs, so they can be found in meadows, in cereals and in grasses. The goats are also moving away from the herd in the spring and preparing goats for summer skirmishes. The fights intensify in July, during heat.
