Kupu-kupu ini punya keindahan yang sangat luar biasa dengan adanya berbeda-beda warnanya yang ada di tubuh kupu ini.asal nama binatang ini kebiasaan orang sebutan dengan nama kepompong,kenapa dibilang kepompong karena pada awalnya,sebelum dia besar dia hanya bergantung di atas pohon dengan sarangnya yang bulat.maka orang menyebutnya kepompong,dan mari kita lihat Poto kupu-kupu yang lain ini,,!

Awal permulaan binatang ini,dari ulat setelah itu dia mulai membuat sarang yang sangat tebal,untuk dapat dijadikan kepompong,,setelah itu dia semakin bertumbuh dengan sangat sederhana,agar menjadi seekor binatang kupu-kupu.sampai bisa terbang ke atas angin dengan adanya sayapnya yang luar biasa,,
