Talking The Illegal Wildlife Trade With Sadie From Eclectic Trekker

Hi guys! Here is part 3 of my series speaking with my friend Sadie of Eclectic Trekker.

If you missed the first two parts, Sadie spent a few months volunteering in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand at the end of 2015. In part 1 we spoke about the dark truth about elephant tourism (https://steemit.com/elephanttourism/@thelostlemurian/hs6hhzqs) and in part 2 we spoke about the process of regrowing coral in order to restore marine environments (https://steemit.com/environmentalism/@thelostlemurian/l0kdwsfx).

In part 3, Sadie shares about her time at Tasikoki Wildlife Rescue in Sulawesi. This project aims to rescue and rehabilitate animals who have been saved from the trade in illegal wildlife, plus educate people and help to bring this trade to an end. Guys, there are some really sad things happening to animals out there and there are some people who would spend a lot of money to obtain animals or body parts of animals.

Sadie also explains here what the average tourist can do if you find yourself in a place where you spot endangered or exotic animals being sold, or you witness the body parts of endangered animals being sold. (Very valuable information, as the only thing necessary for evil to endure is for good people to do nothing!)

I hope you've enjoyed this series and please do let me know what you think in a comment (and of course upvote and follow me if you haven't already!)
