I had been watching an Anime recently which people who reads this will find it outdated because the season two for this said Anime has been over a few months ago already. And now here I am talking about this Anime while I am only at the turd(I mean third, LOL) episode of it's second season. The Anime's title is Himouto Umaru Chan, its one of those geeky Animes that weebos rant about when they group together. BTW, I'm not a Weebo nor an Otaku, just an audience... No seriously, XD.
So far I had been enjoying the ending song for the second season, I find the ending really catchy and entertaining. Himouto Umaru Chan is a gag/comedy Anime that revolves around a beautiful young girl and her brother's life. Whenever Umaru is on school, park or anywhere public, she always gives that impression of a perfect beautiful girl which is diligent, industrious, clean and don't have anything to do with Anime, games and other nerdy hobbies. But that is only what she shows when she is outside their home, what happens is, whenever Umaru gets home she becomes a complete slack that eats a lot of junk food, watches a lot of anime, reads a lot of comic books and plays a lot of video games which is a complete opposite of what she shows whenever she is outside of their room.
So, basically, that is how this show works. It is not like those character A goes from point 1 to point 2 like Naruto, One Piece and other such genres. It is neither one of those gags with formula like Sket dance and Doraemon. No ecchi stuffs like Shokugeki no Soma or Ero Manga Sensei(oooh boy, I enjoyed that one too, I better talk about that one too later). The show is just so direct to the everyday lives of the two main characters that I can't ask anything else for it because I feel like this is how should this show do.
The show has a diverse target of audience, from the general Otaku community(because Umaru is really relatable specially for the weebos and otakus and of course I cannot relate coz I'm not one of them, XD) to the younger audience with their sing and dance theme songs. Another thing to consider here is the color schemes that they use are really attractive for children like Umaru's outfit is full orange and Sylphin's dress which is all blue, just in case you do not know, these colors win children really well since they are at the stage of their lives where they just are starting to recognize colors.
So, with all that said, is this Anime something that I would suggest to everyone to watch? Of course, yes. I think this Anime is good for either casual viewers or die hard fans. This is something that I will enjoy to watch as some one who doesn't know much about Animes or either as someone who read the whole book about it before watching it. For it's rating I will give Himouto Umaru Chan a 8.5 out of 10 because I cannot see this Anime having a longer run than 4 season, the season 3 is about to be released this year but I think having a 4th season would be really something else for the series. Usually, these types of shows doesn't get more than 2 seasons, most of the time just 24 episode to 48 then everyone forgets about it existing in the world. That is the life for cartoon shows, today they are talked about, tomorrow they're forgotten.
