Gotoubun no Hanayome Anime Cast Finalized!

Hello. It's MonMon. Boy, is 2019 shaping up to be a good start!

The voice cast for the Gotoubun no Hanayome anime has been finalized! Looks like there is a change to the cast of Gotoubun no Hanayome. Sakura Ayane will not be voicing all five of the Nakano sisters. Instead, four more voice actors will be joining her to voice the quintuplets.

Well, I guess it make sense because a single voice actress voicing five characters is too much work.

Well, let’s look at these voice actresses and their past performances to get a rough idea of what the quintuplets will sound like in the anime.

Uraraka Ochako [Boku no Hero Academia] and Onodera Haru [Nisekoi].

Nakano Yotsuba voiced by Sakura Ayane
She voiced a lot of upbeat characters like Uraraka Ochako from Boku no Hero Academia and Onodera Haru from Nisekoi. Uraraka’s charming character also perfectly portrays Yotsuba’s casual happiness. Very good fit!

Gokou Ruri aka Kuroneko [Ore no Imouto Konnani Kawaii Wake Ga Nai] and Kawamoto Hinata [San Gatsu no Lion].

Nakano Ichika voiced by Hanazawa Kana
Ooh~ Hanazawa as Ichika. Pretty good! Ichika has a mature playful nature. Hanazawa’s voice work on Gokou Ruri (Kuroneko) really complement’s Ichika’s mature self. Furthermore, Ichika, who works as an actress on the side, plays the roles of a cutesy high school girl in the movie. Hanazawa made a stellar performance with Kawamoto Hinata from San Gatsu no Lion. Hinata was absolutely adorable and also have an air of independence. With both of these performances under her belt, Hanazawa switching between ‘cool headed’ Ichika and ‘cutesy’ Ichika will be a performance I will watch with anticipation.

Rem [Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu], Hestia [Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka], and Tanahashi Suzune [Love Lab].

Nakano Itsuki voiced by Inori Minase
Inori Minase? Inori Minase?! The one who voices Re:Zero’s Best Girl Rem? Good golly! Just hand Itsuki the lead heroine role goddammit! Rem, best girl, has a very cute and passionate character. Rem also shows a little grit because she is an oni. A good match with Itsuki’s cute and strong character. Other notable roles played by Inori includes Hestia from Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka and Tanahashi Suzune from Love Lab. ‘Best Girl’ Rem and ‘cute and shy’ Suzune? Itsuki’s cute scenes will be such a treat to watch.

Nanako Usami [Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yattemita], Nanao Yuriko [The iDOLM@STER], and Narumi Inoue [Re-Kan!].

Nakano Miku voiced by Itou Miku
… This is a tough one. Itou Miku looks like a fresh entry to the anime voice acting business. She have voiced plenty of characters but not as much as the other actors in the cast. Notable roles include Nanao Yuriko from The iDOLM@STER series, Narumi Inoue from Re-Kan!, and Nanako Usami from Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yattemita. All of these characters are often upbeat and energetic, a stark contrast to Nakano Miku’s reclusive and quiet demeanor. Ugh… She is my favourite quintuplet too.. Well, Itou did express that she try her hardest to voice the character of the same name as her. Let’s hope that she pulls through!

Nakano Azusa [K-On!] and Kousaka Kirino [Ore no Imouto Konnani Kawaii Wake Ga Nai].

Nakano Nino voiced by Taketatsu Ayana
Oh, she voiced Kousaka Kirino from Ore no Imouto Konnani Kawaii Wake Ga Nai. Literally the worst girl in the series. Well, since Nino has a very abrasive attitude, she can voice her during her interactions with Fuutarou like she did with Kirino. In fact, I think it’s a pretty good match. Not only that, she voiced Nakano Azusa who has a headstrong yet gentle attitude in ‘K-On!’ which is perfect for Nino when she is interacting with her sisters. Spiteful and abrasive towards Fuutarou while being headstrong and gentle to her sisters. Forget Kirino, I look forward to how Nino will be in the anime!

Sora [No Game No Life], Kirigaya Kazuto [Sword Art Online], and Bell Cranel [Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka].

Uesugi Fuutarou voiced by Matsuoka Yoshitsugu
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu. Isn’t he a power house in the male voice actress industry? He voices a lot of characters that are in the main cast of a plethora of anime. However, let’s focus on the roles he played that best fit Uesugi Fuutarou. Well, Sora, the degenerate MC from No Game No Life has a very eccentric attitude that is similar to Fuutarou’s haughty tactlessness. For Fuutarou’s strong and diligent side, Matsuoka got it covered. He took on the roles of Kirigaya Kazuto from Sword Art Online and Bell Cranel from Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka. Both are strong and diligents harem MCs, so the role of Fuutarou is pretty much routine for him. A solid choice!

Although, in hindsight, I just noticed that Inori Minase voicing Nakano Itsuki and Matsuoka Yoshitsugu voicing Uesugi Fuutarou also voiced Hestia and Bell Cranel from Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka. Hestia is in love with Bell Cranel who recognizes her feelings and has yet to answer them. The story has revealed any development in their relationship but Danmachi fans have been fervently shipping them. Ugh… What is this foreboding pair up. Don’t throw away the other four sisters! Especially the darling Miku!
