It takes immense patience and a good helping of wisdom to not react when students are "pushing your buttons".

I taught French, Spanish and Chinese to African-American (don't know if this is still the correct PC term) students for a few months about ten years ago, but I only managed to connect with a small handful of students.

I admire your patience and respect your ability to get positive results.

Thanks so much! I think patience develops over time, I remember some colleagues of mine had this anger management class specially for teachers, guess they were really preparing them for the real world..,haha
