Governor-Vice Governor of Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno launched a number of Jakarta development worth hundreds of trillions rupiah. One of the projects planned by Anies-Sandiaga namely Light Rail Transit (LRT) is international.
The total investment for this LRT project is approximately US $ 25 billion or around Rp 335.49 trillion (exchange rate assumption Rp 13,419 per US dollar). For the length of the track, reaching 200 kilometers.
Sandiaga said the LRT project will be built in a five-year period, from 2020 to 2025. Hopefully, the existence of LRT can reduce congestion in Jakarta.
Sandiaga also wants to make the world's major cities as a reference for change for Jakarta. One of them is New York whose sidewalk concept and garden are immaculate.
He wanted the Jakarta sidewalk to be a place of economic interaction such as food traders and books.
