Every time I come across stories like this, I'm reminded of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow"... for those of you, who haven't seen or heard of it, it's basically a really exaggerated example of what could happen to our planet, if we keep going down this path of climate change and global warming.
The movie freaks me out, and while it's not necessarily accurate in its depiction, it gives you an idea of what could happen to us, if we don't change the path we're headed towards when it comes to the affects of oil drilling, greenhouse gases, wild fires, oil refineries putting smoke into the atmosphere, vehicles driving around with combustion, etc.
It's a fucked up situation.
