Our world has changed dramatically since one of my all time heroes died. The world we now live in would likely horrifying the creative mind of Stan Lee. His ability to illustrate the best and worst parts of humanity created a multiverse where the marginalized and hated found inner strength and faught back against the darkest parts of the heart.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
The heroes created by the mind of Stan Lee were cut from a different cloth, they were the weak and broken souls who had every reason to turn evil and yet found the inner strength to keep their hearts and actions on the side of good. These heroes taught many at a young age to choose kindness over cruelty, and to find the best parts of themselves, and bring their best self to this world.
It has been difficult to choose the Stan Lee way of being in this world of trimps and McConnells. It would be far easier to become a J John Jameson than a friendly neighborhood spider-man. Yet it is now that we need to don our home made costumes and fight back against the powers of fascism.
