Beautiful farmland. I love the new greens of spring.
Today I plan to make it through Monday. I have to quick walk the dog and head out to work. Once I have my 8 in I hope to get the evening chores out of the way, check Steemit and then get back to my book. The main character is in a bit of trouble and I don't want to leave her there long.
And, our son is visiting. I have an slight intuition he may take me to lunch today. We'll see.

Morning from Cumaná. It's 8:05 here and it can be a long and hot day.
I have some errands to run, one incuding a visit to the public notary. Then, I have to look for empty card board boxes to pack some books. This used to be the easiest thing to do/get, not you can go to a dozen supermarkets/stores and they'll tell you they don't have boxes to give away or even sell.

Yes, Venezuela used to be so prosperous that people did not sell used stuff, for instance, we just gave them away (clothes, appliances, shoes, etc). Now people are selling the most outrageous things at the most outrageous prices. So, if you have a business, say a supermarket, you obviously produce a great amount of trash (including empty boxes) that are now in high demand and you can ask whatever you want to them. So, you reserve those for special customers or friends who will pay you your price.
People are selling used clothes and footwear in the worst of conditions as if they were new; even in the market, you see small fish, almost rotten fruits, scorched vegetables being sold as if they were fresh.
The thing is when the market has few options because production of everything is at an all-time low, the sky is the limit for abuse and speculation
