... Jerry I spotted something sitting on a rock just off the trail... had to bush wack to get to it and probably would not have been noticeable if not for being winter... It is a military style lock box with a GPS thingy inside 😅 Official Geocache it says on the one side but no other information 🤔 gonna keep an eye on it and see if it wanders anywhere as it looked like it had been buried amongst the vegetation at least since summer.... thinking maybe the batteries died or something and I very well might as well join the fun by replacing them 😁

Does it have a code number on it? If you geocache you can class this as a “find”. What you do is open the box and write your geocaching account name on the logbook provided. Then you use the code on the box to register that you found it at www.geocaching.com. You can write a little message about it, etc.

It does have a few random things written on it... "Fire & Ice #1" is what I remember but there is no log book inside 🤔 I will have too look at it all a little closer and write a post about it. Never done any geocaching officially but I do know where a few can be found on SaltSpring Island as I am a pretty avid hiker it may just be a suiting endeavor for me 😁 thanks for the link I will go check it out!
