Just like wolves wolfhounds are intelligent.
If they do not listen or respond it is not because they are too stupid to learn but because they do not like to follow your orders.
It depends on the breeder and parents what the percentage wolf is.
My eldest is more wolf as a dog (read: German Sheppard). His brother was even more wolf.
They will not feel comfortable inside, they need a pack and are more peaceful as dogs.
Ours are not meant to sit on laps and do tricks. No rollover, high fives or need to please us or other people. They are very loyal to us and that is enough.
Once older they learn and understand 3 commands including the hand signs that belong to it.
The place they are staying in their territory and we keep it that way. This way they have less stress and they stay safe and so do we.
"No jumping!" Is the sentence we use most and a few times a day, but this breed will always jump (and climb).

Well Dogs are Dogs!
We all love them a lot, but less then they love us. 😄
