Life is so full of little things we take for granted, isn't it? You mention coffee and cigarettes; I could add to that a crisp, cool apple, or a weekend beer. I like to use (probably overuse) the term "first world problem." I know it's a little pretentious and arguably insulting, but it holds a lot of weight. My boys complain about going to school. I tell them they have a first world problem, in that there are children worldwide who would love to be able to go to school, and who want to go to school, and here we have teachers who want to teach our children, and we take it completely for granted.

I can't imagine not having my life of plenty either. It sure doesn't seem like plenty all the time, what with working paycheque to paycheque and such, but we eat daily, have hot water, coffee, and dont' have people shooting at us outside of laser tag. It's a pretty chill life.

Thanks for sharing and pointing out what's important.

@wwwiebe,

Appreciate the visit my friend, and kudos to you, for telling your kids how things really are! Coffee is is... people not shooting at you, is also good!! Thank you for your support brother!

Put your kids at work at home. My kids always helped already at 2 years old. Laundry, dishes, cleaning, garden, dogs, shopping, eahing the car, yaling care of the garbage etc etc. They never complained about going to school. They are happy if they have some time to sit and do what they like. It is not a first world problem but a raising problem. None of my 5 children complain. They are all caring and attentive and will take care of eachother. They probably find other children spoiled to death too (actually they do and they find them annoying too). What you raise will be the future. Lazy, complaining people who take everything for granted and can handle or repair nothing themselves. Big wasters and that behaviour we see in every world. If you think the 3rd world is more grateful you are wrong. They even are more greedy and demanding and are not happy with the small things in life. That is domething preached in the 1st world, words I am raised with.

@wakeupkitty,

@wwwiebe is a good guy, and I also see your point; I remember working ALL DAY in Miss Opals yard (she was the piano player at the Church I went to when I was young) white wash painting the fence, digging around her sidewalk... and I got $20.00 dollars, and priceless stories, of how life used to be...

And yes... the little things REALLY count, when you don't have them my friend... good to see you!

Thanks for your comment. I did not mean to say @wwwiebe is not a good guy. Did I?

You were well payed in these days.

@wakeupkitty,

No no, you are fine my friend! I was just stating that he is a good guy, and the three of us, though in different ways, all have the mind set. And yes... before MS, I was making REALLY good money... we live to see another day, yes? ❤️

Little things count if you don't have them or cannot have them. To me it is each day less also of it comes to the things I do... Happy Sunday. 💕
