Apple 4K tv now gets Dolby Atmos support
Apple announced their new updates and upgrades to its different OS platforms at the WWDC 2018 annual developer conference. In the event, the company brings Dolby Atmos audio technology to Apple 4K tv with tvOS12.
This technology is designed to bring 3D sound. It provides a more immersive audio experience by creating a sound bubble of 360-degree sound. Currently, this feature available in headphones, phones, laptops, TVs, and game consoles.
Jen Folds, senior Apple TV designer, said, Apple will add Dolby Atmos in this fall along with a huge variety of movies, including Mad Max: Fury Road, Justice League and Jumanji. However, Apple will not charge any extra for this new feature.
Apple offers zero sign-on feature
Last year, Apple introduced a single sign-on system to access cable company content right on the Apple TV. Now, the Apple TV will offer zero sign-on feature. With this feature, the Apple TV automatically log in to all your connected cable apps, without requiring you to enter your password.
While, Charter communications, an American telecommunications company, is the first company to support the zero sign-on feature. It identifies your subscription through the broadband connection feeding into the Apple TV.
Apple collaborated with the NASA to convey a new aerial screen saver option that gives a sharp view of the entire planet by simply tapping the Apple TV Siri remote.
While, Apple spent some to promote its new services, including 100 video channels in the TV app, while promising that much more is on the way. Currently, the Apple TV is the only streaming player with both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
